Wings to their dreams

Allianz Technology India joined hands with a social purpose
organisation Yug Foundation to support 1200+ schoolgirls from rural Maharashtra to provide an annual supply of biodegradable personal care products. This initiative was aimed to help prevent the school girls from dropping out of the education system for lack of sanitary care solutions.

Rebuilding aspirations

In 2019, natural disaster stuck Kerala in the form of floods. Amongst many lives affected and structures uprooted, schools were one of the severely damaged. One such was the Koippuram school in Pathanamthitta district. Our CSR committee, and representatives of Hands of Hope - our internal Charity Committee, joined hands to not just rebuild the school structure back to its original state, but also made it better with added infrastructure including a computer lab.

When it comes to sustaining our environment, it is essential we come together as one. We are taking small steps for a bigger impact in the long run. How are we making a difference?

Partnering with Plastic Fischer

We partnered with Plastic Fischer, a globally recognised German
social enterprise known for plastic waste management. We undertook the task of cleaning Thiruvananthapuram’s rivers, tributaries, and canals of the plastic waste that accumulates during the monsoon
season. A total of 16 tons waste has been collected till now. The
activity is an innovative, simple, and scalable process for managing plastic waste in the water bodies in and around the city to avoid flooding and to stop plastic from entering the oceans.

Energy efficient transportation

We saw the launch of our first fleet of electric vehicles (EV) for
employee transportation at the Pune facility recently. The electric vehicle adoption demonstrates our commitment towards a
low-carbon future, thereby complimenting our efforts and
initiatives for a sustainable world.

Sustainable offices

Like charity, sustainability begins at home too. Adding to our holistic sustainable approach, our offices are either newly made or revamped with a sustainable vision. Being water-smart, energy-efficient, and with a mantra of ‘reduce, renew and recycle’. Our offices are
paperless. While the essential function that still need paper
continue to use it, our pursuit for alternatives stays on course. 

We are also a single use plastic-free organisation. Reducing and
replacing plastic material was one of our goals of a sustained and healthy work environment.

Energised offices

We have procured Renewable Energy Certificates for the entire
electricity consumption of 2021, symbolizing our commitment of
being a 100% renewable energy compliant organization.
